Labradorite

Labradorite

Labradorite crystal is a feldspar mineral that is said to have fallen from a frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis. This is what gives it its blue, green, and yellow flashes of colour which almost mimic the northern lights. Its stunning and eye catching look is what makes it more attractive than other crystals and one of the most popular.  It was first discovered in Labrador, Canada by Moravian missionaries, which is where the name Labradorite derives from. It is known to have been used for over a thousand years by the Red Paint People of Maine, but became popular throughout Europe around the 18th and 19th century.
