Citrine has beautiful shades of yellow and is known as the crystal of sunshine. It is said to carry the power of the sun - enhancing warmth and energy in its owner whilst revitalising the mind and bringing the person a new outlook on life. The name Citrine comes from its colour. It is the shade of most citrus fruits, and in some languages Citrine translates directly to Lemon, matching the pale yellow of Citrine perfectly. It is a member of the Quartz family which includes other crystals such as the smoky quartz. A natural Citrine was once very popular amongst Hollywood stars such as Joan Crawford, and remains a very much sought after crystal today. Not only has the stone been made popular by Hollywood stars, but the Citrine has also been known as the “Merchants stone” as many believed it could attract money, and in Feng Shui the stone is said to bring good wealth and fortune to its owner. All of these elements bring a large attraction to the crystal.

The crystal’s healing properties are said to include enhancing romance, positivity, and happiness, along with invoking images of the sun and warmth. In more recent times the Citrine has been linked to vitality, mental clarity, and new beginnings due to the origins of its name. The Phantom crystal is the formation of another crystal within the quartz. This occurs when the formation of the quartz is interrupted for the other mineral to grow inside. Beautifully polished and well shaped, this crystal looks amazing on display with others or as a standalone item for healing and empowerment.
